Design & Layout
- The MBT waste facility will be designed to fit in with surrounding land uses and neighbouring industries.
- Viridor intends to add to the existing trees and greenery on site which will ensure that local views will not be spoilt and that local wildlife will be supported.
- The solid recovered fuel (SRF) produced at the site will be transported to and from the power station at Runcorn by a private railway, helping to minimise the impact on local road traffic.
- A dedicated visitor centre will be built at the site, providing an important education facility for local school children and residents and helping to support Cheshire's ongoing waste education programme.
