Waste and South West Devon
Plymouth City Council, Devon County Council and Torbay Council have joined together to form the South West Devon Waste Partnership (SWDWP) to develop a sustainable waste management strategy for the next 25 to 30 years. Central to this is a strategy about how to handle the area’s residual household waste.
Following initial submissions of outline proposals, Viridor is one of three companies shortlisted for the final stage of this PFI contract. Viridor is a well-established provider of recycling and waste services to local businesses.
Whilst Viridor has submitted proposals under this PFI contract, the plans we are developing at New England have been developed independently of this process.
